The Other You: Tori Fyock
Mama always said to "just be yourself." And that's pretty good advice...most of the time. Sometimes it just feels SO GOOD to tap into the Other You. Even queen Bey needs to step into her Sasha Fierce every now and then.
((305)) Fitness is where the Other You comes out to play, so we're asking instructors about their alter she-gos. Tori Fyock is a bundle of contradictions: tip-lipped secret government worker, balls-to-the-wall ((305)) instructor, innocent mom-type, and low key flirt-ress. Get the low down on your favorite DC queen.
1. In class you're so bubbly and high spirited, I think you might be an actual bubble. Is the Other You also a sunbeam of joy?
Well thanks! Working out...endorphins...happy people...yay! *cue Elle Woods* Actually I definitely have a shady side to me. I have a very low tolerance for perpetual stupidity. My boss at work says I'm allergic to it and claims he has to carry around an EpiPen. It just gets under my skin and makes my blood boil, which doesn't leave a very bubbly Tori. *hard eye roll*
2. You're seriously a booty whisperer. Junkies just LOVE to shake it in your class. Is the other you also an aspiring member of the twerk team?
I mean everyone has a little bit of a freak in them, and I just try to get it out of ya in class! In so many regards, I have to be serious at my day job and keep my lips sealed, but a little booty shakin' doesn't deter from any of that. Let that freak out, woot woot!
3. What's your "I wanna make this happen and bang" move? What is the Other You's move?
I'm quite the flirty schemer for sure, so if I want something to happen I just make sure I'm in the right place at the right time...and I have some tricks up my sleeve. The Other Me kicks that up a notch. She's incredible incredibly sexy, graceful, and alluring...but that's definitely not me (yet).
4. Did you always want to be a secret government worker turned dance fitness instructor? What did little Tori want to be when she grew up?
LOL you know I actually did. I've always had a personality where I fit into multiple, totally separate groups. My parents worked for the government, so I've always admired the devotion of being a public servant, which led me to my super-secret spy job (sshhhh!) On the flip side, I've also always been incredibly social and dance was at the focal point of that, which led me to dance fitness. The path all make sense looking back now, but growing up, I either wanted to be a Rockette or a Spanish teacher. Other Me is still secretly pursuing those options.
