Hey Hot Mama: Jess Is About to Pop!

NYC's Jess Evans gives us life! She's also giving life to her new baby girl, soon to come into the glitter-soaked world Jess has created for her. The mama-to-be gave us the inside scoop on what it's like to be near-term and full-fabulous.

"Since the very beginning, ((305)) is truly the one thing that has kept me going and always made me feel better."

How are you feeling? Be honest, what does almost-about-to-birth feel like?

Honestly, I'm feeling great, just a little tired. I've heard that last few weeks of pregnancy can be pretty miserable but I don't feel that way at all! I think it's because I've continued to teach, workout, eat healthy and stay hydrated so, I don't have the crazy swollen feet or lower back pain at all.

The reality is that genetics play a large part in what happens to your body when you’re pregnant, but mindset plays a big role too.

People say "OMG you're 9 months?!  You look AMAZING!" and I appreciate that but, this is how pregnancy SHOULD be!  The reality is that genetics play a large part in what happens to your body when you're pregnant, but mindset plays a big role too. Take it day by day, listen to your body, and do what you can but, don't throw everything you know about being active and healthy out the window just because you're preggars.  It is not only healthy for you, it is SO healthy for your baby.

It's been so inspiring to see you leading classes. How did you make sure you had the energy?

I am SO SO happy my doctor let me teach until I was 35 weeks! ((305)) cardio is a super intense workout and I was having contractions in class, so we decided it was best for me to rest and stay hydrated for the last month. Can you imagine if my water broke in the middle of the 5 minute sprint?!!

Can you imagine if my water broke in the middle of the 5 minute sprint?!!

To keep up, I've been taking taking ((305)) Flow on the reg to stay loose, and because I just need to move!  The most important thing to keep up with a full time job and teaching 4-8 classes a week has been sleep! You can never have enough, pregnant or not.

What are you most excited for when your bundle of joy arrives?

We are down to the last 3 weeks, and this girl could come anytime now!  We are really really excited!  I can't wait for my new BFF and #twinsie.

She already has more clothes and shoes than I do, and I can't wait to dress her up everyday #girlygirl!  We are excited to grow our family and dive into the fun new adventure parenting brings. We are going to stick to our lifestyle as much as possible and continue to spend our weekends at brunch with friends, in the park with our dog, and traveling as much as possible #babywithapassport.

Are you...nervous?

I'm really not nervous, just excited! Now ask me that when I am waddling to the hospital and that answer may change! I feel like I know what to expect: the pain of labor, lack of sleep, and a lot of figuring it out as we go. Ty and I are both super laid back people, and we aren't stressed or worried at all. I know we will make an amazing team together. This is something we have always wanted and we are counting down the days until this baby girl arrives.

What's been your saving grace through this whole journey?

Since the very beginning, ((305)) is truly the one thing that has kept me going and always made me feel better.  Just like I always tell my clients "it's the best hangover cure!" It got me through the first trimester with all of the morning sickness and exhaustion. I really don't know what I would have done without it!

And...chocolate ice cream.  Like, daily!
