Even the Queen 🐝 knows how crayyy pregnancy can make our bods. Sure, you’ve heard all about how AH-maze the girls are gonna look and you’re ready to drop some $$$ on a whole new maternity wardrobe. But there are a TON of other changes that baby mamas experience when pregnant -- some good, some great, and some not so hot.

Since it's almost Mother's Day, we're roundin’ up a list of the good, the bad, and the ugly ways pregnancy can seriously change your bod.


1. YOU LEGIT GLOW

Junkies, you know exactly how good you look post-((305)), with a little extra shinin' shinin' in your cheeks and a whole lotta pep in your step. That's basically the starting point for mamas-to-be. Pregnancy gets as much as 50 percent more blood flowing through your veins, brightening your face and causing that infamous pregnancy "glow."

2. YOU GET MORE FLEXIBLE

Pregnant? Don't stretch it too far in ((305)) Flow, okay? Your body's going to start producing relaxin (yep, that's really what it's called), a hormone that's supposed to loosen your pelvic joints to help you with delivery. Watch those high kicks in class, kween!

3. YOU'LL FEEL A LITTLE OFF BALANCE

And we don't just mean emotionally. Yes, hormones in pregnancy might make you feel a little nuts. But if you wanna look and feel off balance, pregnancy is your answer! The hormone relaxin loosens up your ligaments and has a serious impact on your steadiness. So all of those uni-lateral (aka one-legged exercises) like lunges just got that much harder. 

4. YOU'LL ACHE MORE THAN YOU THOUGHT

Why gawd, why? Carrying all that weight around is no joke. Your belly may wreak some havoc on your low back. 80% of pregnant women say they experience low back pain. Other pains include swollen feet, achey legs, headaches, nausea. Ughhh. All those times you opted for a hangover feel like such.a.waste.

5. YOU GET BETTER HAIR AND NAILS

Those same magical pregnancy hormones will slow down hair loss -- meaning your tresses will look fuller and shinier than normal. Many women see their skin clear up and hot damn -- your nails, too, will be growing at a much faster rate. So skip the blowout or the mani pedis and just embrace that goddess staring back at you in the mirror.
