Just between us squirrel friends, 30-KAIKAI will be hosted by Drag Queen emcee "Starbiz Spitfire" Paige Turner. She’ll be giving y’all shows while you slay it on the dance floor.
Before the party starts, you bettah come correct with your vocab. Consider this the 305 beginner's guide to all things Drag-Speak.
Sissy That Walk (Verb)
From the iconic mutha RuPaul, when you Sissy That Walk, you’re strutting your stuff and giving your fiercest walk down the runway! From the dance floor to the sidewalk, you’re commanding your presence and letting them eat it!
You bettah Sissy That Walk when it’s time to freestyle during 305 cardio!
A kiki is when you and your closest friends get together and have a gay ol’ time gossiping, hanging, partying, etc.
It’s Friday and I’ve had a week! Calling up my besties and having a kiki to unwind.
A KaiKai is when two drag queens make sexy time happen.
I was in the back of Pieces and caught two queens having a kaikai in one of the bathroom stalls. Their hair and makeup were still looking flawless tho!
Throwing Shade (verb)
When you gotta talk a little trash about a heaux who crosses you, you’re throwing shade their way. Also see: Reading
My older sister was throwing shade when she caught Becky trying to steal her man.
The library is open and reading is what? Funda-men-tal. When you spot a flaw in someone, you point it out aka read them, and exaggerate it out.
Brian got read for filth for wearing that Make America Great Again hat to the party.
Spill the Tea (Verb)
When the gossip is oh so juicy and you and your closest girls have to talk over the deets, that’s when you gotta spill the tea. The hotter it is, the juicier the stories will be.
After I heard Johnny was being trifling to my bestie, I called the girls up to spill the tea over drinks.
One of the most affirming words you could ever say or hear. If you love it, live for it, or obsessed about it, give it a good, “Yaaaaasss!!”
When I got finally won the 305 Unlimited lottery, I screamed, “Yaaaaasss!!” in front of all my coworkers.
Tens Across the Board (Noun)
From the ballroom culture, judges give 10s to winners who’ve slayed each of their categories. If you the baddest bitch in the room, you definitely getting 10’s.
Jacki slayed her undergraduate degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude. 10. 10. 10. 10. Tens across the board!
When you’re shocked with your jaw dropped and need a sec to take it all in. You are gagging.
