Everything You Need to Know Before Watching RuPaul's Drag Race Season 9 Finale
It's safe to say Season 9 has been the craziest season of RuPaul's Drag Race yet.
Fan favorite Eureka O'Hara was sent home (doctor's orders) because of a knee injury.
The queens revolted against Valentina winning the title of Miss Congeniality (they say she's cold-hearted IRL).
And RuPaul announced that instead of the Top 3 queens facing off in the finale- he would bring the Top 4. Oh, and that he was making them all lip sync for their lives- AGAINST EACH OTHER.
Get to know the remaining girls below, and remember: if you can't love yourself, how in the hell are you gonna love anybody else?
Peppermint is an NYC icon. Not only is she the first openly transgender woman to appear on RuPaul's Drag Race, Peppermint is known for her sickening performance abilities: she can sing, she can dance, she can act, she's a comedienne- literally what can't she do! Her main critique this season has been that she needs to pay attention to details when executing her runway looks.
See how sweet she is here.
Sasha Velour is the epitome of Brooklyn drag. This queen takes a cerebral approach to each challenge- for The Snatch Game (a popular parody mini competition each season where the queens must compete as a recognizable celeb) she posed as Marlene Dietrich- and IRL she spent a year studying LGBT art in Russia as a Fulbright Scholar.
Hailing from Chicago, Shea Coulee is something of legends. She's gorgeous, she's talented, she can dance, she can sew, she can speak French- she's known for her editorial looks and her out of this world dancing. Like we're talking Beyonce level booty drops. She's bougie and banjee- our favorite combination.
Trinity "The Tuck" Taylor is an Alabama girl who now lives and performs in Orlando, FL. She is known for her seamless tuck (more info on that here) and her killer looks- she used to be a pageant queen after all! During the day she is a makeup artist, but by night she can be seen shaking that a$$- literally. She got plastic surgery so she wouldn't have to pad her dresses.
