It's barely March, and already our president has made 2017 basically miserable AF. But our bada$$ junkies and the ((305)) team aren't takin' this sh*t sitting down. #NastyDontQuit, ever.
And we aren't the only ones. Studios in NYC (and all over the country, we bet) are joining us in this new ACTIVEism movement -- our junkies are taking the🔥 we put into our high kicks and right hooks in class and transferring it to kick, punch, and twerk down the racial, gender, sexual orientation, religious and other barriers that this world is throwing at us.
The fitness blogger babes over at Well+Good gave us a shout out in their latest story about this movement, and here's what our baller HBIC Sadie had to say:
“I chose a career in fitness because I felt it had so much untapped potential for social change. It was my subversive feminist fight, and now it’s my life’s mission to empower people, especially women, through movement.”
“As a founder, I believe that my ethical and moral responsibility to stand up for the right thing matters more than our bottom line,” Sadie told Well+Good. “I would rather use our platform to do good than to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and no one gets upset. People will get upset! You gotta break some eggs to make an omelet.”
((305)) is out there raising cash money for Planned Parenthood. We marched together at the Women's March. We sent postcards to House Speaker Paul Ryan, to show him how we feel about the backwards policies he's pushing. We are vocal in our support for #BlackLivesMatter, for LGBTQ rights, for women's rights, and for immigrants -- and there's no chance we're stopping there, junkies!
